Faculty Senate Resolution for the

Transfer of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, and the Energy and Environmental Policy Program from the

College of Education and Public Policy to the College of Engineering

 

 

Whereas,

     The Center for Energy and Environmental Policy addresses policy, energy, environmental and economic issues related to technological processes and systems that are most aligned with the College of Engineering, and

 

Whereas,

     The Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, with favorable Faculty Senate action in 2001, has administered intercollegiate and interdisciplinary graduate Energy and Environmental Policy (ENEP) degree programs (PhD-ENEP and Master of Energy and Environmental Policy or MEEP) since their establishment as permanent programs, and was recently granted authority under a 2009 Faculty Senate resolution to administer a cross-disciplinary, intercollegiate undergraduate BS degree in ENEP, and

 

Whereas,

     The faculty in the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy have voted unanimously to transfer the Center and the ENEP programs from the College of Education and Public Policy to the College of Engineering, and

 

Whereas,

     The faculty in the College of Engineering have voted with overwhelming support to endorse the transfer of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy and the ENEP academic programs to the College of Engineering, and

 

Whereas,

     The proposal for the transfer of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy and the ENEP academic programs from the College of Education and Public Policy to the College of Engineering is acceptable to the Deans of each College and to the Provost, be it therefore

 

Resolved,

     That the Faculty Senate affirms the proposed transfer of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy from the College Education and Public Policy to the College of Engineering.
