Resolution to Disestablish MA in Art

Whereas,    the MFA is accepted as the terminal degree in Art, and

Whereas,    the Department of Art’s limited resources: studio space and teaching efforts, must be committed to the MFA program, and

Whereas,    the current MA program in Art has only enrolled eight students in the last nine years, and

Whereas,    those eight students all enrolled in Ceramics under a now retired faculty member, and

Whereas,    the current faculty member in Ceramics supports disestablishing the program, be it therefore

Resolved,    that the MA in Art be disestablished.
