Subject: Minutes College Courses and Curriculum Committee

 

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources College's Courses and Curriculum Committee met on April 13, 2011 and unanimously approved the following two items upon recommendation of the faculty of the Bioresources Engineering faculty (faculty vote taken on March 18, 2011).

 

    1. The undergraduate Engineering Technology major and minor be discontinued with the following provisions:

 

          a. Students in the undergraduate Engineering Technology program will be given the option of transferring to  another program or to finish out their Engineering Technology major or minor by 9/1/16, when the major and minor will be terminated and

          b. No freshmen or transfer students will be admitted to the Engineering Technology major or minor after Faculty Senate approval of the discontinuing of the Engineering Technology major and minor. 

 

     2. The MS graduate program in Bioresource Engineering be discontinued with the following provisions: 

 

          a.Students in the Bioresources Engineering MS program have the option of transferring to the department where their major professor has elected to move or completing the MS requirements of Bioresource Engineering by 9/1/16.

          b. No MS candidates will be admitted to the program after Faculty Senate approval of the discontinuing of the Bioresources Engineering MS program.
